Brittney + Grant, October 2017

For October we are featuring a real wedding story from Brittney and Grant, whose love story started back in high school.

Here is their story in Brittney's own words.

The most important part of planning our wedding was making sure we stayed true to ourselves despite tradition, trends, expectations, etc. We made sure it was in a beautiful place that accommodated our closest friends and family!

The couple with family

Favorite part of the planning process? Absolutely everything, so I'm assuming details. I enjoyed getting to see our vision come to life, and work with incredibly talented vendors in the process. It turned out better than we could have imagined!

The most memorable parts of the day were the music, food, dancing, and amazing friends and family that were all there to celebrate with us.

We had just bought our home and hadn't stayed in it yet, so that night was the first night we got to spend there. Grant totally surprised me with candles and white rose petals everywhere! It could not have been more beautiful, such a memorable end to our wedding day.

Forever by my always

Some of the extra special touches to their ceremony and reception were a book about their love story (written by Grant’s mother and illustrated by Tiny Dog Press). The parents of the groom also commissioned an oil painting of the venue as a wedding gift.

My advice to other brides planning a wedding: Be yourself, stick to a budget, and do not compare. Your wedding will fly by so cherish every single moment. Narrow down the large details to a few choices so that you can ultimately make the final decisions together.

Write your thank you cards, set up a great wedding website to track and monitor your progress, love on your fiance and enjoy the very best day of your life!

We loved being a part of Brittney & Grants full wedding planning process starting with save-the-dates to wedding shower invitations, rehearsal dinner invitations, and an amazing wedding invitation suite -- which included a custom watercolor of the venue and wedding day details, cookie bags, and programs. In addition, the parents of the groom commissioned Tiny Dog Press for a guest book describing the couples love story and an oil painting of the venue in a similar style as the invitation envelope liners.
